FAQs

GS Small Groups are a welcoming community of 8-12 people who come together regularly to connect, learn, and support each other in our journey with Jesus. In these groups, you'll find a space to share your experiences, dive into meaningful discussions, and grow spiritually. We focus on building strong relationships, praying for one another, read and discuss Scripture together, and finding ways to serve both within our church and the broader community.

Maybe the question should be... WHY NOT join a small group?!?
Here are just a few benefits of joining a small group:
You will make long-lasting connections and foster deeper friendships.
You will gain a deeper understanding of the Bible as you discuss and apply God’s word in community.
You will pray for others and have others praying for you.
You will experience true belonging. You bring the real YOU to a small group, along with the gifts God has given you, and encounter others who are doing the same thing.

GS Small Groups meet on and off campus, almost every day of the week, day and night, to accommodate a wide variety of schedules.

For those using the 3/3 Group model, it’s a weekly gathering, and sessions are generally about 1 hour and 30 minutes long. Small Groups also run on five to six week cycles throughout the year.

Regular people who love Jesus, who have a passion to serve Him in this way and who attend annual training each year to keep their facilitation skills sharp! The 3/3 Group model stresses that the best teacher is the Holy Spirit, so we rely on the Spirit to lead us as we study the Word together. As people become accustomed to the 3/3 Group format, the idea is that those in the group will eventually step up to help lead and facilitate their groups or even start and lead new ones.

Some groups coordinate child care, others don't. We leave the responsibility to the groups and their leaders to plan out their own child care needs.
