Partnerships

  • The Sierra Arden Food Closet, located right in the heart of our community, provides food and other items to those in need. We gladly supply them with donations and volunteers. Donations can be brought directly to the Food Closet at 890 Morse Avenue during open hours Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 AM - 11:45 AM.

  • St. John’s Program for real change provides life changing support to women and children in need. We proudly support St. John's Program both financially and with donations of supplies. For more information visit saintjohnsprogram.org

  • Nyarubae Lutheran Church has been our Sister Parish in Rwanda since 2010 when it was established with support from Good Shepherd and other Lutheran congregations in Northern California. Nyarubae is one of the largest and fastest growing Lutheran congregations in Rwanda.

  • The Rwamagana Lutheran School was opened in 2010 to offer a secure and nurturing school environment that transforms vulnerable youth into future leaders and problem solvers who champion environmental sustainability and social change. For more information visit rwandaschoolproject.org

  • Opened in 2011, Courage House is a long-term rehabilitation program for minor victims of sex trafficking in the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania. The foundation of Courage House is to: Rescue the most vulnerable, restore the girls’ physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health, and reintegrate each girl into society.   • By providing immediate relief to those who are hungry, ELCA World Hunger helps meet basic needs and recognize the universal human right to food. By connecting people with the resources they need to produce food and gain access to clean water, education, health care and sources of income, long-term, sustainable change can be accomplished.
