Thanksgiving Food Drive
We’re starting our Thanksgiving Turkey Drive a bit earlier this year! With greater community need and fewer usual supplies, the Sierra Arden Food Closet needs our help more than ever.
We’ll collect turkeys and Thanksgiving staples on Sundays, November 9, 16, and 23, aiming for 100 turkeys. See the list below for all needed items.
Turkeys
Boxes of stuffing
Gravy packets
Canned cranberries
Cream of mushroom soup
The Food Closet also needs a few more volunteers—Good Shepherd remains a key source of support, and a couple of new faces would make a big difference.
Please contact Linden Beck at (916) 202-9021 or email linden.w.beck@gmail.com.
Encountering the Holy Spirit
This fall, join us for four special Wednesday evenings dedicated to Encountering the Holy Spirit. From October 29 – November 12, we’ll gather from 6:30–8:00 pm for worship and teaching from inspiring guest speakers.
Oct. 29 – Bishop Parnell Lovelace
Nov. 5 – Pastor Scott Hagan
Nov. 12 – Pastor Nancy Atchley
Nov. 19 – Pastor Efrem Smith
Childcare will be provided for children ages 5 and under. Older kids are invited to join the service with their families.
