Daniel grew up in Visalia, California, in a ministry family and has been involved in ministry from a young age, participating in both vocational and volunteer roles at various churches. The majority of his ministry experience, including his ordination, has been with the Church of the Nazarene.

He is married to Hannah, who grew up in Sacramento and attended Saint Francis High School. Hannah works as a flight attendant with Delta Airlines, a role she greatly enjoys. Together, they have a lively two-year-old son named Callaway, who is full of energy and joy. While Callaway shares his name with a golf brand, he was named because Hannah thought it was "cute," a decision Daniel wholeheartedly supports.

Daniel is passionate about sports, games, people, and Jesus. His favorite sports are golf and soccer, and he is a proud supporter of the Sacramento Republic soccer team. His favorite games include Settlers of Catan, Cornhole, and Dodgeball, and he finds great joy in laughing with others.

His favorite passage of scripture is Matthew 5–7, commonly known as “The Sermon on the Mount.” He believes that simplicity is key and that much of life becomes unnecessarily complicated when deviating from Christ’s straightforward teachings.
